Jim has been playing trombone in Seattle area big bands since college and did a 10 year stint with the Jay Thomas Big Band in the '90s. He is founder and musical director of the West Seattle Big Band, and has been a substitute player with numerous other big bands in the Seattle area. He has also played trombone and euphonium in area symphonic bands and does occasional pit orchestra work for local theatre groups.
